The question of the day is whether the reign of skinny jeans is, in fact, ending. Welcome back wide leg demin! The ebb and flow of denim styles seems to be as predictable as the tides, and as our '80s obsession with the super skinny makes way for '70s boho sensibilities, skinny jeans are getting swapped for their wide-leg counterparts. When push comes to shove, which pair would you rather slip into—deliciously slim denim or jeans that give you room to groove?

Social Media Taking over Desserts

Social media has become a norm in society. Instead of "will give you a call," "send you a text," or "shoot you an email" we often communicate by "will message you on Facebook or Twitter." Long gone are the days where we seek business cards to fill our rolodex and instead "find me on linkedin" so we can connect is the new norm. Personally, as a hater of paper and keeping "stuff" laying around I am enjoying the new era of the paperless. I love that two of my "loves" are coming together - social media and treats! Food Truck Craze

The Great Food Truck Race on the Food Network has helped put little local food truck gems on the map. In phoenix we have several great trucks that make their way around town serving up amazing street food. Phoenix Street Food is a great resource to see many of the local trucks and view their calendars. One great stop is "Food Truck Friday" on Central and McKinley, you can checkout several trucks in one spot and even dine at the community tables in the shade. I recently grabbed lunch at Sunshine & Spice and then had to finish off my meal with an amazing Salted Caramel Creme Brulee from Torched Goodness. Not only have I been delighted by the trucks at Food Truck Friday and the farmer's market, they will also come out and do private events. I went to a friend's birthday party last weekend and Short Leash Hot Dogs was serving up some tasty treats - I went for the jalapeno cheddar corn pup and it was so done to perfection.


Maybe CSK should get in on the Food Truck Craze too??

Gumballs

Here are a few ideas for fun and unique ways you can use gumballs at your next event. I love the “pin the gumball” game and some bubblegum ice cream for dessert at a kid’s party. You can use the gumballs for a baby shower theme, put gumballs in a bottles for decorations or favors, or have a good old fashion bubble blowing contest.
